Wichita police don't yet know who killed a 53-year-old man Sunday night on the city's north side and are asking for the public's help.
Wichita police Lt. Jason Stephens said Clarence Bryant of Wichita was shot multiple times shortly before 7 p.m. while he was in the street in the 1700 block of North Old Manor. He was taken to a Wichita hospital with critical injuries but died after arriving.
Stephens said officers interviewed several neighbors and others in the area, near 13th and Oliver, but developed no solid leads.
Witnesses did report seeing a beige-colored sedan speeding away from the area after the shooting. Police ask anyone with information about the vehicle or the person or people involved to call 911 or Wichita-Sedgwick County Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.

“At this time we have no suspect description to provide,” Stephens said.
Bryant, he said, lived in the area. Stephens gave no other details.
“We're still investigating the cause. Right now we don't know the motives or any of the direct circumstances involved with the shooting,” Stephens said.
Bryant's killing is the city's 25th homicide of the year.
