Wichitan charged in bank robbery

WICHITA — A Wichita man has been charged in last week's robbery of the Sunflower Bank at 2073 N. Webb Road, federal prosecutors said today.

Willie J. Jackson, 27, faces a penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 if convicted. He is charged with robbing the bank around noon Thursday.

Shortly after the robbery, Wichita police arrested three men at a house near 21st and Woodlawn. Prosecutors said two of the men were not charged with taking part in the holdup.
