Suspect in east-side bank robbery at large

Authorities said Thursday they are still looking for the man who robbed the Conway Bank in east Wichita on Wednesday afternoon.

The man walked into the bank at 11122 E. Central, the northwest corner of Central and Greenwich Road, at about 2:17 p.m., authorities said. He pointed a gun at a teller and demanded money.

The money was then placed in a small, opaque trash bag. The suspect left the bank and ran north and east, authorities said. No getaway vehicle was seen.

A photograph of the suspect gleaned from security video has been released.

He is a white man in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 11 and 150 pounds. He was wearing black wool gloves, a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, with black and red Nike Shox tennis shoes.
