3 men charged in weekend Hutch killing

Charges filed Wednesday against three men in the killing of a man whose body was found Saturday in a parked car in Hutchinson describe an alleged conspiracy.

The charges contain a description of how the killing of Joshua Haines allegedly played out last Friday or Saturday. Documents from authorities said:

* That one of the suspects lured Haines to a "secluded residence under false pretenses."

* That several people including one of the suspects "were waiting in hiding and ambushed Joshua Haines."

* That one of the suspects "closed the front door to the apartment during the attack."

* That another suspect had rubber gloves and duct tape in advance of the attack.

In an e-mail late Wednesday afternoon, Reno County District Attorney Keith Schroeder announced the charges related to the killing. An autopsy showed Haines had been killed by multiple blunt force traumas.

Anthony A. Waller, 26, was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated robbery.

Jose Guadalupe Delacruz, 28, was also charged with first-degree murder and aggravated robbery.

Vasie Joe Coons, 35, was charged with aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated battery, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.
