This is the weekend.
The next to last ever Kansas Sampler Festival opens 10 a.m. Saturday in Winfield’s Island Park and runs until 5 p.m. that night and again on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children.
The festival, which was created to help Kansans get to know their state through travel, food and things to do, will end after 2017.
The Kansas Sampler Foundation, which promotes the festival, plans to create an annual Kansas Road Trip that will encourage exploration of specific regions of the state.
This year’s festival includes more than 300 exhibitors from 150 communities.
