Wichita State to open pool to dogs Saturday prior to its cleaning

For all you pooch lovers who think higher education never gave you anything you could sink yourself into:

Woof! Woof! Saturday is your day.

The folks at the Heskett Center at Wichita State University are about to clean the big pool.

They let the dogs in first, just before they do this.

The pope says dogs go to heaven. WSU says they can go to the natatorium pool.

Students. Faculty. And the public, said WSU spokesman Joe Kleinsasser. Bring the mutts. Have a swim.

The 2nd Annual Puppy Paddle event will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, at the Heskett Center natatorium near 21st and Yale. It’s free, though they suggest you bring a $5 donation for Pals Animal Rescue.

They even offer doggie massages.

Bring a camera. Bring tennis balls to play fetch.

No marking of territory allowed.
