Help is now available for addicted star gazers. The Lake Afton Public Observatory and the Kansas Astronomical Observers organized a telescope fair for Saturday, Nov. 22.
From 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Observatory, the Observers will show different types of telescopes, advising advantages and disadvantages of each type, observatory officials said in a statement. The idea is to offer advice with an array of telescopes and experienced users in the same place at the same time.
Astronomy buffs while there will also help people look at a gas giant planet, a multiple star, a star cluster, a gas Nebula, and a galaxy, the observatory statement said.
For more information, call observatory officials Robert Henry, 316-978-3991 or Greg Novacek, 316-978-3854.
