A University of Kansas medical expert on HIV and AIDS treatment will open her home to the public from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 10 for her annual HIV and AIDS picnic fundraiser.
Donna Sweet, physician and professor for KU School of Medicine-Wichita, hosts the annual Sweet A-Fair Backyard Picnic at her home, 6 Crestview Lakes, Wichita.
A $25 donation is suggested for the event, which includes Popeye’s Chicken, kids’ activities, live and silent auctions, music, entertainment and a photo booth.
Proceeds will go to the Sweet Emergency Fund, which provides critical care and medication for those living with HIV who are unable to pay for treatment.
