Wichita motorcyclist dies while fleeing from Kansas Highway Patrol

A Wichita motorcyclist died while fleeing from Kansas Highway Patrol troopers in Hutchinson, according to a KHP report.

Logan Cooper, 28, of Wichita, was being pursued by the troopers at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday on the east side of Hutchinson, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol. While driving a motorcycle, Cooper struck and rear-ended an SUV.

The driver of the SUV had a "possible injury," but was not taken to the hospital, according to the report.

It is not yet known why the Kansas Highway Patrol was pursuing Cooper.
