Man robs Wichita transportation service, steals employee's SUV

The Wichita Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating an SUV that was stolen from an employee during an armed robbery.

At about 6:40 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to an armed robbery at Transportes Rodriguez in the 300 block of West 21st Street North.

When police arrived, a 41-year-old employee said an unknown man entered the business while armed with a handgun, according to a release from the department. The man demanded money.

He then took the employee's keys, purse and SUV, according to the release. No injuries were reported.

The man was described as white, in his 30s and tall and thin. He was wearing a brown work jacket, dark gloves and had a black handgun.

The SUV is a gray 2004 Buick Rendezvous with Kansas tag 834EEP. If you see the SUV, call 911.
