An anti-corruption rally will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Delano, organizers say.
The event will be at the Shamrock Lounge, 1724 W. Douglas.
Represent Kansas chapter leader Kat Frey gave this statement: “Every day, more and more Kansans are experiencing the negative side effects of policies and laws that were passed only to represent the interests of money and cronyism. We all know that money in politics equals corruption, but it also means we are experiencing taxation without representation, and that is unacceptable.”
The rally is part of Representation Day and Tax Day.
The event will include remarks from state Rep. Gail Finney; Marijuana Reform Initiative (MRI)-ICT organizer Esau Freeman; and Frey. There also will be open mic and karaoke sessions for protest music and songs.
