Wichita’s “most prevalent landmark” and one of the city’s “most beloved symbols” – no, not the Keeper of the Plains, and no, not the Wichita Flag – has taken to social media to celebrate its presence everywhere around the city.
The landmark is obstructing, often seen in groups and is quite the inconvenience.
But its most identifying feature is likely its bright, construction orange color.
With construction steady throughout the city, the cones can now be followed on both Instagram and Twitter.
It is a “page dedicated to one of Wichita’s most beloved symbols,” the account profile reads. “Help share your love of the orange with #wichitatrafficcones. Stay safe out there!!”
Word of caution: The cones can be a little sassy and skeptical. And they might be starting their own march of protest.
And while funny, the cones are cone-y, but never corny.
When you find the perfect photo op, just be sure to let the cones know.
