A Colorado man died in a Stanton County wreck with a tractor-trailer late Monday.

The tractor-trailer, driven by a 25-year-old Hugoton man, was heading east on County Road 4 as a pickup driven by Lance Turner, 51, of Walsh, Colorado, was southbound on County Road W, according to an accident report by the Kansas Highway Patrol.

They were about 12 miles northwest of Johnson City.

The tractor-trailer didn’t yield at the yield sign and was hit by the pickup, the report says. The tractor-trailer rolled on its left side on County Road 4. The pickup came to a rest at the northeast corner of the intersection.

Turner was pronounced dead. The 25-year-old was taken to the hospital.
