A midafternoon crash Monday in southeast Wichita left one man dead and sent one person to the hospital, according to Wichita police.

Lt. Jeff Allen said the accident call came in just before 2:30 p.m. and involved a three-wheeled motorcycle and an SUV. The collision occurred at the intersection of Lincoln and Armour.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, Allen said. Police have not yet identified the victim. The driver of the SUV was transported to Via Christi Hospital St. Joseph with noncritical injuries.

Allen said police need to investigate further to piece together the details of the crash, including the speeds of the vehicles involved.
