Share the Season is an annual campaign that offers one-time aid to people affected by unforeseen hardships. The people are not identified to protect their privacy.
Providing for a household of eight, this husband, father and grandfather was laid off work in September.
He is waiting for unemployment and has applied for other aid.
But he needs help keeping up with the utility bills.
He owes $177 in gas, $347.42 in electric and $172.09 in water bills.
"I am looking for a new job," he said. "This gift from Share the Season would help me through these hard times until I'm called back to work."
He's hoping to find a job by next month.
