Wichita gas prices remained flat in the past week, according to a weekly survey by GasBuddy.com.
GasBuddy said Monday that based on its survey of 185 gas stations in the area, prices averaged $2.15 a gallon on Sunday, unchanged from a week ago.
Regionally, that compares with an average Sunday of $2.07 a gallon in Tulsa, $2.11 a gallon in Topeka and a Kansas average of $2.16 a gallon.
GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst Patrick DeHann said prices could move higher in Kansas and across the country this week because of tropical disturbances, but should ease by mid-September as refiners begin to distribute cheaper, winter gas.
