Clothing retailer Aeropostale announced Wednesday that it will close 154 stores in the U.S. and Canada.

As part of the announcement, the company revealed that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

According to a letter from Aeropostale CEO Julian Geiger that was posted to the company’s website, 154 stores in the U.S. and Canada are set to close this year.

Neither of Wichita’s two Aeropostale locations – one at Towne East Square and one at Towne West Square – appeared on a list of stores set to close. The list was provided by a company spokeswoman Wednesday.

An Aeropostale location in Kansas City, Mo., was listed. For the complete list of store closings planned by the teen-centered retailer, visit http://arorestructuring.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Store_Closures.pdf.
