Target shoppers in the Midwest who know exactly what they want — and don't want the temptation of strolling through the aisles — will soon have the option of same-day Target delivery.

More than 55,000 products, including groceries, home essentials and toys, will be available for same-day delivery with an annual membership, according to a press release.

This Target service, in partnership with Shipt, is being expanded into select Midwest metro areas throughout May.

  • Beginning May 10: Kansas City and Springfield, Missouri

  • Beginning May 15: Lawrence, Topeka and Wichita, Kansas

  • Beginning May 17: Conway and Little Rock, Arkansas

  • Beginning May 17: Jackson, Mississippi

To take advantage of the service, you must purchase an annual membership. It normally costs $99 a year, but if you enroll before May 10, you can save $50 on your first year.

Once you're signed up, you can place your orders online or via the Shipt app. Employees will then grab the items you want and deliver them to your home, business or "wherever you are," according to Target.

You can schedule your delivery for as soon as one hour after you place your order. Delivery is free for orders over $35 and $7 for smaller orders.

To enroll, visit https://www.shipt.com/target/.
