Medical Provider Resources, a for-profit offshoot of the Medical Society of Sedgwick County, is moving into the society’s building at 1102 S. Hillside this week, according to Jon Rosell, executive director of the medical society.
MPR helps medical facilities verify credentials of providers and allied health staff, such as nurses and physical therapists, prior to employment. Its current location is 550 N. 159th St. East, Suite 219.
“(The move) will be able to improve our efficiency and ability to meet customer needs,” Rosell said.
MPR was created in 2011 when the Medical Society’s Kansas Physician Information Verification Program merged with Medical Staff Services Inc.

When the entities merged, they had a three-year lease, which is expiring, Rosell said.
To accommodate MPR’s 11 staff members, the medical society is remodeling part of its facility.
Vicki Bond, MPR’s COO, will have an office at the medical society and the staff will share a large room, which can also “accommodate growth down the road,” Rosell said.
Earlier this year, MPR took over system-wide credentialing for Via Christi Health.
