As expected, Tampa-based RNR Tire Express is working on some more Kansas stores.
The chain’s first Wichita store opened in May at the southwest corner of Douglas and West Street.
At the time, a spokesman said the company was looking to open 13 stores in Kansas.
There’s now a second RNR is under construction at 5010 S. Broadway, across from Goodwill. It will open in November.

There’s also one in the works in Hutchinson at 1418 30th Ave., which is next to Dillons, that will open Aug. 1.
Another Hutchinson location had been planned, but it fell through.
“We couldn’t get it rezoned,” says franchisee Tim Daniel.
He says business is going well in Wichita so far.
“Things have been really great in Wichita.”
Daniel says the company offers discounted prices and 120-days same-as-cash deals without credit checks.
He says the emphasis is still on quality tires, though.
“We take that very seriously,” Daniel says.
“We really appreciate all of the people who have come out and supported our company.”
