UPDATED – Ross Dress for Less, which bills itself as the country’s “largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain,” is opening its third Wichita-area store in Derby this weekend.

The Derby Marketplace store at 1800 N. Rock Road will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Regular hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.

With the opening, the store is donating $2,500 to the Friends of the Derby Public Library.

The store also is giving away $1,000 gift cards, and shoppers can enter for chances at a $500 shopping spree or five $100 shopping sprees on Saturday.

The new Ross number is 316-788-1332.

There’s also a Ross store planned for the new Greenwich Place at K-96 and Greenwich this fall – most likely October – but there’s no opening date set for that one yet.
