The new west-side Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store will open March 10 at Westgate Market at Kellogg and Dugan Road where T.J. Maxx and Ross Dress For Less are.

Jo-Ann Fabric, which will have its last day in business at Towne West Square on March 9, will take 22,000 square feet of the former OfficeMax space. That leaves 8,236 square feet remaining of that store’s old space.

Cristi Howell and Doug Malone of J.P. Weigand & Sons handled the deal.

“This location is larger and the majority of the product categories across the store have increased,” Jo-Ann spokeswoman Shauntina Lilly said via e-mail.

“The store will carry a large assortment of crafting, floral, seasonal accessories, finished home decor items, and an expansive selection of fabrics for apparel, crafting and home decorating.”

Lilly said there will be a variety of grand opening events March 10, 11 and 12.
