QuikTrip has gotten into the health care business with a company called MedWise Urgent Care, and the chain is looking to come to Wichita.

“MedWise has interest in expanding our Urgent Cares in many adjacent regions to Tulsa, which include Wichita,” said MedWise marketing manager Antonya Pharr in an e-mailed statement. “At this time, we do not have an estimated date as to when.”

The company is scouting sites here, though.

MedWise has 11 clinics around the Tulsa area, where QuikTrip is based.

The clinics offer walk-in treatment and appointments. They take most forms of insurance, Medicare and state Medicaid.

MedWise offers preventative care, such as vaccinations and physical exams, along with urgent care, such as treatment of injuries and illnesses.

Look for more information on MedWise’s venture into Wichita as it becomes available.
