Retailer to open in former competitor’s spot at Cambridge Market

Ideal Feet of Wichita has found an ideal new site for its east-side store.

The store currently is at 3236 N. Rock Road, but next month it is moving to the former Foot Solutions space in Cambridge Market at 21st and Webb Road.

“They were there for so long, it left kind of a void, and we’re moving in to . . . fill that void,” said Ideal Feet owner Dawn Keene.

The Foot Solutions owner retired, and the store closed.

Keene hopes to open in the space March 7.

She said Ideal Feet helps with overall noninvasive health care for feet. That includes custom-fitted arch supports and diabetic services.

With the move, Keene said she is starting the process of being able to file Medicare for diabetic services, although she expects that process to take several months.

Ideal Feet is a Houston-based franchise with six stores currently open and three more in the works.

The Cambridge Market store will be the only one Keene plans in Wichita, but she said she hopes to expand to western Kansas at some point.
