Rene Cordell of Cordell Wealth Management has an easy way to tell people how to get to his current office, which is at 5846 W. 21st St.
“I always tell people if you go up Zoo Boulevard … if you miss the curve, you’d run right through our building,” he says.
Next week, he’s moving the office, but it has nothing to do with the curve or giving directions.
“I’m moving to bigger digs,” says the financial planner. “We’ve just outgrown the space.”
His new space at Reflection Ridge Office Park, which is at 21st and Ridge, will be 1,900 square feet.
Cordell has acquired seven practices in the last six years, and he has two more under contract and is in negotiations for another one.
“It’s just a way to grow your business.”
He says he’s not trying to reach a certain number, though.
“It’s about client service.”
Cordell had been in banking for 20 years before switching to financial planning in 2000. Though he enjoyed banking, Cordell says he likes planning more.
“It’s that personal touch.”
Cordell plans to hire another planner now that he’ll have space for one.
The new place “gives us room for growth that is probably more near term than long term.”
Will it be enough room with all this growth?
“Ah, for a while.”
