2Dogs Concrete Designs owner finally opens his Mud Haus showroom downtown

It may be about half a year later than he planned, but Kalven Cederberg of 2Dogs Concrete Designs has proven that concrete deserves a showroom just as much as appliances, rugs or anything else for sale.

His new Mud Haus showroom will open for Final Friday this week at 922 E. Douglas in Old Town where Sandbar Trading used to be.

The showroom features Cederberg's designs for counter tops, furniture, sinks and floors. There's a model kitchen and a couple of seating areas with model fireplaces.

Cederberg’s 6-year-old business is east of Augusta, but he’s preparing to relocate to a place north of Benton where he can have his home and shop. He says he realized he'd need a more convenient showroom.

Jake Ramstack of InSite Real Estate Group handled the deal for the space.

Mud Haus regularly will feature a couple of artists in addition to Cederberg's concrete.

Sculptor Craig Campbell's work will be on display along with the oil paintings of Ernest Vincent Wood III.

Following Final Friday, there will be an open house at Mud Haus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
