Looking for a job? If you're a welder or another kind of skilled worker, Kice Industries might like to hire you.

The company is expanding its Park City campus, which is on about 25 acres at 5500 Mill Heights Drive.

"We're very busy," says president and CEO Drew Kice, who is the fourth generation of his family to work in the business. "We're growing."

The company, which started in 1946, builds material handling systems and dust control systems for various industries and also has an electrical engineering and automation group that automates those systems.

It has a 160,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and a 24,000-square-foot office.

Thursday, it is breaking ground on a new 6,000-square-foot office that LK Architecture designed for the automation group.

"We have drawn up a phase 2 expansion if and when it's needed," Kice says.

In addition to the physical expansion, Kice says the company is in serious search for workers.

"We're just finding it very hard to bring in . . . additional labor," he says. "It seems like it's a really competitive market right now. I'm hearing that from just about everybody I talk to."
