Brad and Brent Steven’s new Wine Dive & Kitchen will have its grand opening in Manhattan on Tuesday.
The Stevens, who own the Wine Dive and the Hill Bar and Grill in College Hill, have already had a few pre-opening parties and were happy with the reception they received.
“They were just super welcoming,” Brad Steven says of residents there.
“It was almost like they gave us a lot of reassurance. ‘Hey, we’re glad you’re here.’ ”
The brothers are opening where 4 Olives Wine Bar used to be in downtown Manhattan at 121 S. Fourth St.
Steven, who spends more time on his businesses than in the kitchen these days, did a lot of the cooking for the opening parties.
“I was definitely cooking a lot more than I have in a long time,” he says.
Some dishes, such as the chocolate tortes, turned out well.
However, the bread pudding, he says with a laugh, “We did not send out to anybody.”
