Boeing said Tuesday it is donating $1 million for disaster relief from Hurricane Harvey.

The contribution from the Boeing Charitable Trust will be directed through the American Red Cross for relief efforts from the Category 4 hurricane that made landfall on the south Texas coast late Friday and has since caused catastrophic flooding there, including in Houston.

Boeing employs nearly 4,000 people in Texas, including in San Antonio. That’s where Boeing moved its maintenance and modification work from Wichita in 2013.
