Jay Cooper, CPA, has been reappointed to a second four-year term on the Kansas Board of Tax Appeals. Prior to serving on the Board of Tax Appeals, Cooper was a partner with Kirkpatrick, Sprecker & Co.

Joel Davis Jr. has joined the staff of Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball as a senior staff accountant.

Gina Evans has been hired by Credit Union of American as the assistant vice president for human resources and talent development.

Chris Macias has been named branch president of Citizens Bank of Kansas in Winfield.

Mike Maloney of Kingman and Jeff Breault of Wichita have been elected directors by the shareholders of Citizens Bank of Kansas. Maloney works on his family farming operations; Breault is vice president at Carey, Thomas, Hoover & Breault.

Wayne Piersel has been promoted form director of psychology to director of clinical services at Heartspring. Piersel will join the executive leadership team and lead Heartspring’s clinical operations.

Eric King has been promoted to associate vice president for facilities at Wichita State University.

Sidni Garwood has been named volunteer coordinator at Rainbows United.

Nick Gardner has been promoted to general manager of Kansas operations for Black Hills Energy.

Dustin Lentz with Ameriprise Financial has received the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation from the College for Financial Planning.

Health care

Dentist Joseph Baba, director of the TMJ and Sleep Therapy Centre of Kansas, has recently earned the designation of Diplomate by the American Board of Craniofacial Pain. The TMJ and Sleep Therapy Centre of Kansas recently relocated to 4620 E. Douglas.

Wesley Healthcare has named Jeremy Pauly EmergencyCare Network market director. Pauly will oversee Wesley’s five emergency rooms.

Michael Monteferrante, president and CEO of Envision, has been appointed to the board of directors of National Industries for the Blind with key assignments on the Legislative and Regulatory Policy Committee and the Budge and Finance Committee.
