The Greater Wichita Partnership has named Jaimie Zellner as its executive vice president for strategic communications, according to a news release.
For the past four-plus years, Zellner has worked for the Wichita Downtown Development Corp., the final two as the organization’s vice president for communications.
In her newly created position, Zellner will work with partnership president Jeff Fluhr, staff and volunteers to set the communication course of the organization, and to help implement marketing campaigns, according to the release. Zellner started in her new role on Monday.
The Greater Wichita Partnership was formed in April with a charge to focus economic development initiatives from downtown Wichita to the region.

One of Zellner’s first responsibilities will be to hire for the now open position of director of communications at the corporation, the release said. That position and the marketing and communication staff at the partnership will report to Zellner.
“I’m thrilled about this opportunity and the chance to continue promoting the city that I love,” Zellner said. “We must continue to promote the Wichita region as the best place to build a business, a career and a future.”
Last year, the Wichita American Marketing Association named Zellner non-profit marketer of the year and Young Professionals of Wichita named her young professional of the year, according to the release.
Zellner, a Howard native, has a graphic design degree from Kansas State University, and is a member of the Wichita Arts Council Board of Directors.
