A California-based supplier to the quick-service restaurant industry said its Arkansas City plant has completed an acquisition of a production facility for aseptic dairy products.
Golden State Foods did not disclose financial terms of KanPak U.S.’s acquisition of the Emmi Penn Yan Factory in Penn Yan, N.Y.
KanPak U.S., headquartered in Arkansas City, produces dairy based products including smoothies, ice cream and milk-shake base. The New York plant it acquired from Switzerland-based Emmi is expected to diversify KanPak’s customer base in the U.S.
“It was a great solution for both parties as we have the ability to expand production and drive growth, allowing Emmi to dedicate more resources to its specialty cheese business in the U.S.,” Larry McGill, corporate vice president for Golden State and president and CEO of KanPak U.S., said in the release.
KanPak U.S. was acquired by Irvine, Calif.-based Golden State in October 2013.
