NetApp said it won’t comment on the number of layoffs at its Wichita research and support facility, 3718 N. Rock Road.
The company announced Wednesday that it would lay off 500 employees worldwide, 4 percent of its work force, as it seeks to reverse a slide in first quarter revenues and profits.
In a conference call with analysts, company executives said some of its customers have balked at adopting the company’s latest cloud-based data storage technology.
