Air Capital Classic officials said Friday nine additional companies have committed to support the area’s professional golf tournament, but those commitments don’t yet ensure its continuation.
The nine new companies agreeing to be Ambassadors are: Callcap, Central Air Conditioning Co., Cox Communications, Eaton Roofing & Exteriors, Extremo Vino, Hall’s Culligan, Physician Alliance of Kansas, Prairie Fire Coffee and Wichita Aero Club.
“If the commitments materialize into signed contracts, we can look forward to enjoying the tournament for the next couple of years,” tournament director Roy Turner said Friday. “I hope to have this all put together in the next week.”
From 2002 to 2012, Preferred Health Systems was the event’s title sponsor, providing more than $4 million over that period to the tournament and its charities.
