The Wichita Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management Scholarship Fund is seeking scholarship applications from students who plan to pursue college degrees in the field of human resources.
The $1,000 scholarship is awarded from a fund managed by an eight-member board, according to a news release from the group.
Applicants should be full-time students in their program, should be a junior or senior enrolled in an accredited college based in Wichita, and should have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
The grant of $1,000 will be made for the fall semester 2013, and the winner has the option to apply it to the spring 2014 semester. The deadline for submitting applications is Sept. 16.
