Hispanic Business Forum scheduled for Oct. 23

A Hispanic Business Forum, which will include a panel discussion titled “Resources to Make Your Business a Success” and other presentations, will be held in Wichita Oct. 23.

The forum is free and open to the public.

It is hosted by the Kansas Hispanic and Latino American Affairs Commission, the Wichita Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City.

The forum will include an open discussion with the Hispanic business community about economic development in Kansas, organizers say.

Panelists include Rhonda Harris, minority and women-owned business director with the Kansas Department of Commerce; Corey Mohn, director of statewide programs with NetWork Kansas; Charles Dilliehunt, program consultant with the Kansas Department of Transportation; Diana Ramiriz, owner of Express Employment Professionals and Specialized Recruiting Group in Topeka; Wayne Bell, district director of the U.S. Small Business Administration in Wichita; and Patricia Ramirex-Ceberg, president of Earles Engineering & Inspection in Wichita.

A general session called “Showcasing Your Business” will be presented by Caleb Asher, president and CEO of Sprout Communications in Topeka.

A second panel will include Kansas Department of Commerce Secretary Pat George and other state officials.

The forum will be held at the National Center for Aviation Training at 4004 N. Webb Road.
