Wichita-based EagleMed has started air medical transport services in Cody, Wyo., for West Park Hospital, serving the state’s Big Horn Basin.
EagleMed is serving the area with a Eurocopter AS350 B3 helicopter, designed for high-altitude terrain with a range of 180 nautical miles and a cruising speed of 138 mph. It can carry patients up to 400 pounds and 6-foot, 4-inches tall.
When fully staffed, the base will have about 15 flight, medical, management and ground support personnel, the air ambulance service said.
