The Kansas Masonic Home will have an open house to feature its new Rapid Recovery Suites from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday at 514 S. Martinson, according to a news release.
The more than $4 million development, which is for short-term therapy residents, is the first completed part of a $22 million campus renovation, said Matthew Bogner, CEO of Kansas Masonic Home.
The new building features 20 private rooms in Spanish-style architecture, Bogner said, and includes a den, study, dining room and therapy room, along with a courtyard.
The typical stay for residents will be up to a few weeks, Bogner said.
Residents will begin moving in Thursday.
