Delta Dental of Kansas said Wednesday that chief executive Linda Brantner will retire from the group dental benefits provider on Sept. 30.
Brantner has worked at the company for 25 years. She started at Delta Dental as a director of operations. In 2006, Brantner was named CEO.
In her tenure with the Wichita-based company, it has grown annual revenue from less than $8 million to more than $250 million, the company said in a news release.
“Linda’s impact on our organization is immeasurable,” Jerry Goforth, Delta Dental chairman, said in the release. “Linda has championed our brand through evolving markets, economic swings and regulatory reforms, making Delta Dental of Kansas a household name.”
Delta Dental’s board has begun the process of searching for Brantner’s replacement. The company said chief financial officer Michael Herbert will serve as interim CEO after Brantner’s retirement.
