UMB taps Wichita leaders for bigger roles

UMB Bank said Thursday it has promoted its Wichita market president and named a chief credit administration officer for Kansas.

Chris Howell, who has been Wichita president since March 2011, will also oversee the bank’s western Kansas region as president, UMB said in a news release.

The bank also announced that Wichita commercial lender Matthew Badsky has been named chief credit administration officer for UMB’s Kansas region.

Howell has 11 years of banking experience and Badsky has 15.

“Matt and Chris are both exceptional performers and leaders within the bank, and both have an excellent understanding of these communities and their needs,” Gil Trout, chairman and chief executive officer of UMB’s Kansas region, said in a statement.
