Customers and staff at Walmart and Sam's Club stores in Kansas have raised $303,109 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at Via Christi Health.
According to a news release from Via Christi Health, all the money raised goes to help sick and injured Kansas kids.
The money was collected, mostly through donations made at check-out, in Walmart and Sam's Club stores in Arkansas City, Augusta, Colby, Derby, Dodge City, El Dorado, Garden City, Goodland, Great Bend, Hays, Hutchinson, Liberal, McPherson, Pratt, Salina, Wellington, Wichita and Winfield.
According to the news release, the fundraising total marks a 146 percent increase over 2011.
