Health conference puts focus on the workplace

About 300 people are expected to attend the 2012 Working Well Conference, scheduled for Tuesday at the Wichita Hyatt Regency.

The Economics of Healthy Behaviors, sponsored by Preferred Health Systems and UnitedHealthcare, provides businesses with information about best practices in work-site wellness, according to a news release from event organizers.

In its eighth year, the conference is supported through the Health & Wellness Coalition of Wichita. Speakers this year include Dee Edington of the University of Michigan; Michael Samuelson, president of the the Health & Wellness Institute; Jon Morgan of the Wisconsin Division of Public Health; and Jason Lang of the Centers for Disease Control's National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion.
