7 students win scholarships from manufacturing group

Seven students have been named recipients of $1,000 scholarships from the Wichita Manufacturers Association.

Among the winners are Michelle Wheeler, who attends Wichita State University School of Engineering-Mechanical; Allen Fritz, WSU School of Engineering-Composites; Tate Lampe, WSU School of Engineering-Industrial; and Andrew Esau, WSU School of Engineering-Mechanical.

Wichita Area Technical College funded the other WMA scholarships for students attending WATC. They are Kimberly Martin, Alexander Johnson and Jacob Strausberg.

The WMA is a nonprofit organization comprised of more than 150 members, including managers and owners of area manufacturing companies.
