Wichita sees 5.6 percent wage growth in 2011

The average weekly wage in the Wichita metro areas was $825 in the third quarter of 2011, the most recent for which data are available, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Wages increased 5.6 percent from the same quarter of 2010, ranking the area 101st in the nation among all metro regions. That was slightly faster growth than the nation as a whole.
