Securities commissioner suspends Wichita investment adviser

Kansas Securities Commissioner Aaron Jack said in a news release today that his office has issued an emergency order to suspend Wichita investment adviser Eric T. Burns.

Jack’s office said it had received a complaint alleging that Burns misappropriated client funds while he was working as an adviser at Dimensions Financial Group. Burns was most recently an investment adviser at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where he worked from August to October of this year, according to the release.

The suspension was ordered after repeated efforts to obtain information from Burns about the allegation were unsuccessful.
