Party Bounce Moonwalk Rentals to open its first storefront

WICHITA — Party Bounce Moonwalk Rentals is preparing to open its first storefront.

The 5-year-old company currently operates out of a storage facility in north Wichita.

"We're taking a step forward," says Ruben Hernandez Jr., who operates the business with his stepfather, Kenny Clanton.

They're opening at 2525 W. 13th St. across from Indian Hills Ace Hardware after Memorial Day.

"We just wanted to be a little more visible," Hernandez says.

The business has 30 units for rent, such as bouncers, water slides and obstacle courses.

Hernandez says the business usually does 15 to 20 rentals a weekend.

"I think we're starting to build a pretty good reputation," he says.

Revenue is growing, too.

"We're just getting a little more professional," Hernandez says. "It was the next logical step."

Ideally, he says, he would have an office and a storage facility in the same place, but he says that was difficult to find.

For now, an office is a step up so customers can come by with deposits and employees can meet, too, instead of having meetings sitting around someone's kitchen table.

Mostly, though, Hernandez is excited about having a bigger presence.

"It's going to suit our needs for now just to help sell our brand a little more."
