Senior product marketing manager of global customer support, Hawker Beechcraft

Turner's new job brings him back to Wichita and Hawker Beechcraft after a couple of years working for StandardAero, an aviation service business based in Tempe, Ariz.

"It was a good opportunity, and it also brings us back to our family in the Midwest," Turner, a Nebraska native, said of his return.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Turner, 43, first worked in sales for a Beechcraft dealer, eventually becoming its marketing director.

He moved to Wichita to take a job handling aviation accounts for the Sullivan, Higdon and Sink advertising agency, then worked in public relations for Hawker Beechcraft from 2005 to 2007.

In his new role, he'll focus on marketing the company's after-market and customer-support products, such as an engine upgrade program that can give an aircraft additional capabilities.

"We've made a fairly strong push to develop more after-market products," Turner said. "My role is to make sure everybody's aware of what we're doing."

Turner and his wife have three daughters. They enjoy camping and fishing. He earned a pilot's license while attending college, working his way up the ratings to commercial instrument pilot. But he hasn't flown much lately.

"I'm looking to joining the Beech Aero Club so I can do that again," he said.
