Credit Union of America, in conjunction with the United Way Volunteer Center, organized 200 employees this week to assemble 150 kits – including notes of appreciation, a box of tissues, a roll of paper towels, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, permanent pens, trail mix snack bag, lip balm, note pads and pen holder – for teachers that will be distributed through Communities in Schools; 500 sack lunches for United Methodist Open Door Homeless Resource Center; and 20 fleece tie blankets for Catholic Charities St. Anthony Family Shelter.

Recognized

Fastsigns of East Wichita received the Pinnacle Club Award at the 2015 Fastsigns International Convention in Dallas. The award is given to franchises ranked 26 to 125 in the U.S. and Canada for sales volume from the previous year.

Galichia Heart Hospital and Wesley Medical Center vendors Eby Construction and Central Air Conditioning Co. won two awards of honor for excellence in construction from the Associated General Contractors of Kansas for their work on Galichia’s new $2.2 million MRI building.

Bank of the West was named 2015 Best Private Bank for Client Service by Private Asset Management magazine.
