Wichita-area home prices in December were down 4.61 percent from December 2009, according to the CoreLogic, a national real estate data firm.
When excluding distressed sales, the year-over-year price decline was 0.59 percent.
Distressed sales include short sales and real estate owned transactions.
Nationally, home prices fell for the fifth month in a row, down 5.46 percent with distressed sales and 2.31 percent excluding distressed sales.
