Tindall Corp., the first tenant in Newton's Kansas Logistics Park, has closed on its purchase of property there, the next move in its expansion to Kansas.
On Tuesday Tindall closed on the approximately 230 acres of property it purchased from the city of Newton and Harvey County. In the next few weeks, Tindall officials plan to visit Newton to give an update on their project to City and County Commissioners.
In December 2009, the Spartanburg, S.C.-based company announced plans to build a new facility in Newton to manufacture concrete bases for wind turbines. Plans call for a 150,000- to 200,000-square-foot facility with a total capital investment of about $66 million.
